We will be re-opening for the 2008 season
on Friday, April 4th!
The Whitman House Restaurant is located in North Truro on Cape Cod at the corner of Route 6 and Great
Hollow Road. The Amish Carriage, our landmark, can be easily seen from the
highway.
We are situated on four acres of landscaped property with an abundance
of parking. Owned and operated by the Rice family since 1962, the
175 seat restaurant opens daily at noon for lunch in the "Bass
Tavern" and dinner starting at 5:00 p.m..
The original Inn was built in 1894 and
has since developed into a restaurant with four distinctive Early
American dining rooms. Adjacent to the restaurant in the original
Truro schoolhouse can be found the largest display of Amish quilts in
New England.
